HAVANA (AP) — In a story published Feb. 25, 2026, about the fatal shooting of a U.S. boat in Cuban waters, The Associated Press, citing the Cuban government, reported that Roberto Azcorra Consuegra was one of the boat passengers. On Thursday, Cuba’s deputy foreign minister, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, said Azcorra was not aboard the boat.
