MIAMI (AP) — Hurricane Trudy began weakening rapidly Sunday after it lashed parts of Mexico’s Pacific coast with rain and winds. The Category 1 storm had maximum sustained winds of 80 mph (130 kph) and was moving northwest at 7 mph (11 kph), according to the U. S. National Hurricane Center in Miami.
