PHOENIX (AP) — As former Hurricane Polo weakened over northwestern Mexico on Tuesday evening, the storm’s remnants battered the U. S. Southwest, flooding roadways and leading to residents in small New Mexico towns having to evacuate over concerns about a dam failing.
